Job summary

B in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to lead estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure from bid through handoff. You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost, while partnering with operations and project management.

Responsibilities include developing budgets, performing takeoffs, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and supporting buyout after award. A strong background in civil construction and self-performed work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with estimation tools (HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, OST).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, VE ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project handoffs.
• Support subcontractor/supplier buyout after award.
• Partner with operations to set projects up for successful execution.
