Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Columbus, GA is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our growing team.

You will work on meaningful infrastructure projects including a 65 MGD treatment plant design, collaborating with experienced engineers and taking ownership of smaller project tasks to build technical expertise and contribute to community impact. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, PE licensure, and at least six years of engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience.
• Registered PE is required.
• Able to solve problems effectively while managing multiple deadlines.
• Practical knowledge of CAD, design and calculation software for field and office work.
• Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project scope, budget development, and project design.
• Provides technical leadership on conventional projects.
• Designs experiments, interprets data, and develops conclusions on complex data.
• Writes, produces, and reviews engineering specifications, drawings, and other deliverables to clients.
• Accountable for developing, coordinating, and completing project documents for assigned scope and participating in client meetings.
• Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project(s).
• Directs and mentors EITs and Designers in preparation of project plans.
• Monitors schedule and quality of technical team’s work on projects and budget adherence.
