Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. in Ventura, CA is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex water/wastewater projects while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, subcontractor management, document control, scheduling, and cost tracking.

We're looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with 1–3 years of construction experience and a readiness to grow within a fast-paced environment at a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
• Associates or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of construction equipment, drawings, HSE, quality and standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contract with trade partners and manages subcontract administration.
• Participates in change management and cost/schedule impact assessment.
• Maintains project document control, RFIs, shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinates with project team lead on design response and submittal schedules.
• Manages submittals, reviews for scope and compliance, and supports closeout activities.
