Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. in Ventura, California, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, subcontractor management, document control, scheduling and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of construction experience in an operational role.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of construction equipment, drawings and HSE standards.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contract with select trade partners and supervises some subcontract administration.
• Participates in change management and cost/schedule impact assessment.
• Manages project documents including RFIs, shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinates with project team to monitor schedule, cost and quality.
• Prepares and supervises progress claims and estimates.
• Assists with site inspections and coordination issues and reviews sign-offs on AHJ requirements.
