Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead design and analysis for site development and infrastructure projects in Hawaii. The role involves preparing plans, specs and cost estimates for drinking water and wastewater facilities, conducting field investigations, and supporting construction activities.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, and at least 4 years of experience in water/wastewater projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
MS preferred and demonstrates advanced knowledge in civil engineering.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with project teams.

Responsibilities

Design site and utility infrastructure systems for drinking water and wastewater.
Prepare construction plans, specifications and cost estimates.
Perform engineering calculations and support design decisions.
Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed.
Assist with construction engineering reviews and information requests.
Function as project manager on small to medium projects.
Supervise and mentor entry-level engineers.
Contribute to marketing and business development with the local team.
Perform other duties as needed.
