Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, seeks a civil engineer to work on water and wastewater projects across Arkansas. The role involves planning, designing, and assisting with project management within a seasoned design team, with opportunities to gain knowledge from engineers with years of experience.

Responsibilities include cost estimating, design development, funding assistance, and client consultation, with travel limited to short visits to jobsites and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Must be Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Arkansas.
• Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes.
• Initiative and ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Creativity.
• Problem solving.
• Time management and planning.
• Microsoft Office.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Pass drug screen, background check, and driving record per MVR policy.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimating and preliminary design.
• Assisting with funding applications and environmental studies.
• Perform detailed reviews, studies, analyses, and reports.
• Developing construction plans and specifications.
• Performing detailed design calculations.
• Consulting with clients to obtain and relay information.
• Assisting in the management of projects through construction.
