Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a civil/environmental engineer to work on water and wastewater projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver designs, reports, and specifications. The role requires a BS in civil/environmental engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and an Engineer-In-Training certification.

A valid driver's license is required for travel. Preferred is a Colorado PE license and experience with hydraulic principles and design documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, and other water-resources related facilities.
  • Possess an Engineer-In-Training certification
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience with water and wastewater facilities, hydraulic principles, and design plans and specifications is desired.
  • Software knowledge including Excel, Word, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve clients' technical challenges
  • Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables
  • Track project progress within established scopes and schedules and alert managers of issues
  • Prepare clear written communications and participate in client and team meetings
  • Present design projects to clients and the public as required

  • Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Design plans and specifications production experience
  • Software knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information

Compensation:Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
