Job summary

Dewberry has an immediate opening for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in our Parsippany, NJ office. You’ll work on planning, design and construction phase engineering for water and wastewater facilities, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on pumps, pipelines, tanks and treatment facilities.

The candidate should have a BS in civil engineering, 4–6 years’ related experience, and NJ PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year; familiarity with WaterCAD/SewerCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and

  • BS in civil engineering or related field.
  • 4–6 years of related water/wastewater experience.
  • NJ PE license strongly preferred or obtainable within 1 year.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling including WaterCAD and SewerCAD preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines.
  • Willingness to travel; driving with clean record.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the planning, evaluation and design of water and wastewater system improvements, including: pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation for water and wastewater projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 4-6 years of related experience. Specific experience preparing reports and design plans and specifications for water and wastewater system projects in NJ / NY, including pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and treatment facilities.
  • NJ PE License strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling including experience with WaterCAD and SewerCAD strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus)
  • Familiar with GIS software.
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with otherengineering and supportdisciplines.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and developing client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel, as some travel may be required.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $97,038 to $124,763 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for Parsippany only.
