Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer in Parsippany, Mount Laurel, or King of Prussia offices. You will support a growing site development design group with civil engineering tasks and client-focused service.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license, with 5–10 years of related experience in PA/NJ. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Dewberry is currently seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer in our Parsippany, NJ; Mount Laurel, NJ; or King of Prussia, PA offices. The Project Engineer will perform a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing, multi-disciplinary site development design group. The Project Engineer must be flexible, technologically savvy and client focused.

Responsibilities

• The Project Engineer will perform a variety of civil engineering functions including general civil engineering duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Hydraulics Software and Adobe Acrobat.
• The Project Engineer will also be required to learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, and other Dewberry-specific software programs.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE is required.
• 5-10 years of progressive design experience directly related to site/civil development projects in the PA and/or NJ area.
• Experience in Stormwater Management Design techniques.
• Supports Practice Leads and Management.
• Meets project and client deadlines.
• Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Prepares graphics, exhibits, site/civil construction plans and specifications.
• Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Composes technical reports, permit documents, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
• Handles multiple concurrent projects.
• Working knowledge of NJ and/or PA land development permitting and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Other duties as required.
• Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.

The projected range for this position in the following locations are:

• Parsippany, NJ: $97,475-$125,325
• Mt. Laurel, NJ: $93,888-$120,713

Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
