Job summary

Merrick & Company seeks a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to lead design on water projects and reuse systems in Colorado, Idaho, or Texas. The role supports the Water Group with a hybrid schedule; travel to client sites is possible.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years in design, construction oversight, and operation of water/wastewater facilities, and a PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months. Local/regional candidates preferred; remote options considered with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Minimum eight (8) years of design, construction oversight, and operation experience in water/wastewater facilities.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, including advanced treatment, nutrient removal, reuse, distribution and conveyance, and related balance of plant.
• Prepare and review drawings, layouts, specifications, cost estimates, studies, and reports; review designs for conformance.
• Provide construction support and oversight, including startup, commissioning, operations, and maintenance; some travel.
• Interface with project team, stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Provide clear written and verbal communications for meetings, presentations, and deliverables.
