Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Water Group in Colorado, Idaho, or Texas. You’ll work on water, wastewater, and reuse projects that protect resources and serve communities, with a hybrid schedule for local/regional candidates and travel ready for remote candidates.

You will design facilities, prepare drawings and cost estimates, oversee construction, and interface with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Eight+ years of experience in design, construction oversight, and operation of water and/or wastewater facilities.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, including advanced treatment and reuse.
• Prepare and review design drawings, layouts, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction support, oversight, and startup activities; travel may be required.
• Interface with project teams, stakeholders, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide clear written and verbal communications for meetings and deliverables.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited school

P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months

Eight+ years of water/wastewater design experience
