Job summary

Merrick & Company seeks a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to lead design of water and wastewater facilities in Colorado, Idaho, or Texas. The role emphasizes advanced treatment, reuse, and distribution with travel as needed; a hybrid schedule is preferred for local/regional candidates.

You will join a team of 120+ water professionals in an employee-owned firm committed to technical excellence and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Minimum eight years of experience in design, construction oversight, and operation of water/wastewater facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities including advanced treatment and reuse.
• Prepare and review drawings, layouts, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction support, startup, commissioning, and operations oversight.
• Interface with stakeholders, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal project meetings and deliverables.
