Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Water Practice in Denver, CO, is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects. The role emphasizes process design, piping layout, pump/lift station design, hydraulic profiling, equipment selection, and construction administration.

Candidates should have an ABET-accredited BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering (or related field) with 3 years of experience, FE or EIT, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience
• MS in Environmental Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience
• FE exam or EIT preferred; PE in CO a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform process and civil design of water and wastewater projects from concept through design completion
• Develop drawings, specifications, and calculations for facilities and conveyance systems
• Size unit processes, piping, and pumping systems using hydraulic and process calculations
• Support permitting with state and federal agencies; assist in construction administration
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
