AE2S is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Project Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Denver, CO area, with options for Dillon or Grand Junction locations. This role blends technical design, client coordination, and leadership as you grow into project management responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have a PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, 5+ years in environmental engineering focused on wastewater, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• Minimum 5+ years in environmental engineering/consulting, wastewater focus, with progressive responsibilities (marketing/business development).
• Demonstrated design capability for wastewater facilities and multi-discipline project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support process design for water/wastewater facilities (new or upgrades).
• Develop Basis of Design content, memos, evaluations, and hydraulic/process calculations.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing and criteria, and control narratives.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, and structural teams.
• Support milestones, QA/QC, and constructability reviews.
• Assist with specifications and technical requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and regulatory coordination.
• Provide construction-phase support (submittals, RFIs, commissioning).
• Contribute to project management: scope, schedule, budget, risk, change control.
• Develop relationships to pursue new business opportunities.
