Job summary

McAdams is seeking a Water/Wastewater Practice Lead to guide the strategic direction of the practice across the Southeast. You will lead the production team, manage resources, develop proposals, and ensure profitable, on-time project execution for water and wastewater projects.

You will cultivate strong client relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive long-term market growth within the Water Resources division while representing McAdams at regional and national events.

Qualifications

• PE required.
• Four-year college degree (B.S.) in engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Highly motivated to develop a Water/Wastewater practice.
• Possess technical expertise in civil engineering as it applies to Water/Wastewater projects.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, able to carry a project through the design process independently and within a team framework.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationships.
• Proven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically while preparing and executing strategic plans for growth.
• Proven relationships within the community that are of value in the development of a Water/Wastewater practice.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction of the Water/Wastewater Practice and lead the production team.
• Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to manage workload and deadlines.
• Develop proposals or contracts ensuring scope, profitability, and viable schedules.
• Identify opportunities and cross-sell McAdams' services to clients.
• Develop short- and long-term market sector plans.
• Represent McAdams at industry events and conferences.
