Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Water/Wastewater Plants Division project in the Jacksonville, FL area. You will oversee safety, schedule, cost and quality control from pre-construction through completion, and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include managing subcontracts, coordination meetings, progress reporting, and ensuring owner satisfaction while upholding company standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.
• Must have relevant water/wastewater construction experience.
• Experience managing self-perform crews preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Five+ years in engineering, construction, or related field.
• Proven success in multimillion-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with client/owner, architect, and engineer.
• Maintain a positive company image with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Negotiate subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.
• Develop and maintain project schedule and cost accounting.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and cost reports; review weekly with the team.
• Visit jobsites regularly to review progress and safety.
