Job summary

Job Juncture is helping an award-winning, employee-owned engineering firm in Colorado recruit a senior Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Utilities. The role focuses on leading municipal infrastructure projects, mentoring engineers, and strengthening client relationships across the region.

The position requires a PE license or Colorado licensure within six months, 10+ years of experience, and a passion for mentoring within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Active PE license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within six months.
• 10+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience managing municipal infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in water modeling, wastewater modeling, master planning, pump stations and lift stations, utility design.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage municipal water and wastewater projects from planning through design and construction.
• Oversee master planning studies, capital improvement planning, and hydraulic modeling initiatives.
• Manage projects involving pump stations, lift stations, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, wells, and related infrastructure.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients and maintain strong relationships.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project engineers and design staff.
• Review plans, specifications, reports, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for additional work with existing and prospective clients.
