DeKalb County Government in Decatur, GA is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor for water and wastewater facilities. You will lead daily operations, coordinate crews, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements for treatment, distribution and collection systems.

The role requires a Georgia Class I Water or Wastewater Operator License, a valid GA driver’s license, and at least four years as a plant operator (including two in a Class II or higher position).

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; four years as a plant operator, including two years as Class II or higher.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Georgia Class I Water or Wastewater Operator License.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate daily work activities of the crew and assign priorities.
• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Inspect equipment, assist with repairs and maintenance, and ensure safe operations.
• Train entry level operators and ensure proper certification and licensure.
• Prepare reports, enter data, and respond to customer inquiries.
