Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of experience as a plant operator, including two years as a Class I operator.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license and a State of Georgia Class I Wastewater Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and counsels staff; performs appraisals and development plans.
• Conducts daily rounds; coordinates maintenance response with foreman.
• Ensures compliance with EPD/EPA; monitors Land Application Site contractor; updates data in software.
• Trains personnel in safe operation and preventative maintenance; assesses operator knowledge.
• Maintains records and logs; liaises with engineers, purchasing, and vendors for equipment and supplies.
• Confer with engineers on plant efficiency; discusses operational issues with management.
• Manages crew, meets weekly to assess needs; manages supplies and vehicle maintenance.
