Responsibilities

• Assist with operating and maintaining water, wastewater, and on-site treatment facilities and related distribution systems.
• Conduct basic inspection procedures, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance on equipment and grounds.
• Operate valves, pumps, gates, and other controls; manage distribution system valves as needed.
• Read meters, gauges and dials; record readings and data; maintain logs and facility databases.
• Collect water and wastewater samples; perform bench testing or submit samples for lab testing; maintain lab records.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public.
