Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Wastewater Operator or Operator in Training in Suwanee, GA to operate and maintain equipment at wastewater facilities. The role includes routine testing, monitoring, and basic lab work, with after-hours emergency responsiveness and willingness to work all shifts.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a drive to obtain water/wastewater certification, with knowledge of safety practices and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Willing to study required material to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Previous water or wastewater experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses and disinfection equipment.
• Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of wells, unit processes and basic lab analyses.
• Documents treatment performance, daily flow, and chemical usage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
• Provides customer service functions when necessary.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends and 24-hour emergency on call.
