Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking a Field Technician I to perform routine checks of water and wastewater systems, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules, and assist in operations, maintenance, and customer service at facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and progression toward TCEQ licenses (class D within 1 year, class C within 3 years). Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel) are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of water and wastewater operations and maintenance.
• At least 1 year of directly related experience.
• TCEQ license: class D within 1 year; class C within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of facilities and monitor operations for permit compliance.
• Operate equipment and assist with maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Order supplies to maintain inventory and support operations.
• Provide supervision and training to Field Technician in Training as required.
• Maintain daily logs for EPA and TCEQ reporting.
• Assist with scheduling preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Respond to customer service calls and coordinate with operations team.
