Job summary

H 2 O Innovation in the Houston, TX area is seeking a Water & Wastewater Operator for a full-time, permanent role. You will operate and inspect water and wastewater treatment plants and support related projects to ensure compliance and safe operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Class D license, a valid driver’s license, and delivers excellent customer service. A CDL is an asset; you will work day shifts Monday–Friday with opportunities to learn and grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class D License required.
• A CDL is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn all aspects of the water and wastewater field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, compliant, and consistent operation of all water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of treatment plants and pumping stations in accordance with established standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the collection and distribution systems as well as the treatment plants.
• Create and initiate work orders for operational servicing and repairs.
• Prepare and manage activity and work orders for both preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Order goods and equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Provide guidance and support to plant team members.
• Communicate with operators, clients, and management regarding any issues that may affect the treatment process, compliance, or public health.
• Support water and wastewater treatment projects by assisting in the development of project plans and SOPs, as well as justifying and executing project requests.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships and communication between operators and customers.
