B, located in Charlotte, is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will develop accurate estimates, collaborate with operations, and manage from bid through handoff, ensuring constructability and efficiency.

The role requires understanding water/wastewater construction, self-performed work, and ability to evaluate scope, risks, and costs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience estimating water/wastewater construction projects.
Strong ability to read plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
