B&B Concrete Contractors in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and coordinating with operations from bid through handoff.

This role requires understanding water/wastewater construction and self-performed work, evaluating scope, constructability, risk, and cost—not just takeoffs, with responsibilities spanning bid reviews, budgets, and handoffs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water/wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed concrete or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and contracts.
• Knowledge of estimating software and construction productivity.

Responsabilidades

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure coverage.
• Assess phasing, logistics, constructability, and sequencing of projects.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, value engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Collaborate with operations to set up projects for successful execution.
