B&B Concrete Contractors seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to drive accurate, competitive estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with operations and project management from bid through handoff, evaluating scope, constructability, risk, and cost beyond simple takeoffs.

The role requires reading plans and specs, strong analysis, and proficiency with estimating tools (HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water/wastewater construction.
• Experience with self-performed concrete or heavy civil.
• Reads plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
