B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to develop accurate, competitive estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work closely with operations and project management from bid through handoff, evaluating scope, constructability, and risks beyond mere takeoffs.

The role requires a solid grounding in civil construction and the ability to read plans and specs, with experience in self-performed work and related software tools.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil work.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, piping and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for self-performed labor, materials, equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals; ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Partner with operations to set projects up for successful execution.
