Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater division in NYC or White Plains, NY. The role involves planning, design, and field support for water and wastewater facilities and related systems.

The candidate should have a Civil/Environmental engineering degree (ABET/NCEES) with at least 2 years of relevant experience and an EIT certification. Master’s degree is a plus. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in water and wastewater systems.
• EIT Certification, required.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others.
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to seek technical input from water team members and work collaboratively to advance projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and storage systems.
• Development of contract documents including plans and specifications.
• Perform hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Develop system curves for sizing and selection of pumps.
• Water and Wastewater treatment process systems and equipment engineering and design support.
• Support the development of construction cost estimates.
• Interest and willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
• Perform site visits during design to understand and document existing conditions, and inspect installation during construction.
• Review contractor shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.

Compensation Range: $86,464.77 - $98,816.88
