Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering (advanced degrees/ certifications beneficial).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in SD or eligible for licensure.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant water engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct studies to assess water needs, analyze data, and design reservoirs, pumping stations, water treatment plants, and distribution networks.
• Oversee full lifecycle of water projects: budgeting, scheduling, coordination with teams, contractors, consultants, and agencies.
• Ensure safe drinking water by designing treatment processes, monitoring quality, and implementing pollution control measures.
• Prepare design drawings, specs, reports, and tender documents; manage bids and proposals.
