Job summary

Atlas, based in Plymouth Meeting, PA, seeks a Water & Wastewater Engineer to lead projects in the water and wastewater sector, focusing on plant work and public facilities design including water/sewer lines and pump stations.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with Senior PMs, attend client meetings, and drive solutions for client needs while expanding knowledge of local codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license or ability to acquire within six months.
• Strong attention to detail and ethics.
• Willingness to expand engineering knowledge.
• Ability to prepare plan and spec packages for project completion.
• Ability to obtain various permits required for project completion.
• Knowledge of engineering design standards and their importance.
• Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, ReCap.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania municipal system of government.
• 4–8 years of project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small teams from preliminary project layout to bidding
• Prepare projects for construction management by an adjacent team at ATLAS
• Work with the support of a Senior Project Manager
• Develop project solutions to client needs
• Attend client facing meetings for projects and opportunities
• Remain alert to additional project opportunities at existing clients
• Mentor younger staff by providing tasks commensurate with their experience level
• Increase understanding of local ordinances and design standards
