Job summary

RESPEC seeks a civil engineering intern in its Colorado Springs, Colorado location for the summer of 2026. The role supports planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects for public agencies and municipalities, with interdisciplinary collaboration with environmental science staff.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering, has strong communication skills, and can work well on a team. Full-time summer hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering with interest in water and wastewater
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge/experience in AutoCAD (or similar software) and/or GIS
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
