Job summary

RESPEC seeks a civil engineering intern in Colorado Springs for the summer of 2026. This role supports planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects for public agencies. Interdisciplinary work with environmental science staff is anticipated.

During the summer months, you will work full time and contribute to real projects while developing technical skills in AutoCAD, GIS, and MS Office. Compensation ranges $21–$25/hour, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering with interest in water and wastewater
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge/experience in AutoCAD or GIS
