Job summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern to join our Water, Wastewater, and Conveyance team in Columbus, Ohio. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects.

The role pairs you with experienced engineers to gain exposure to hydraulic analysis, field investigations, and project delivery while developing technical skills and professional growth within a leading infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of university study in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with intent to continue to graduate studies.
US Citizenship or work authorization as applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and design of municipal water distribution and wastewater conveyance systems.
Support engineering calculations, technical reports, specs, and construction documents.
Assist in drawing production using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
Conduct field investigations, data collection, and hydraulic analyses under supervision.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn AECOM engineering standards.
