Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Civil / Environmental Engineer to join the Water, Wastewater, and Conveyance team in Columbus, OH. You will lead municipal water and wastewater projects, supervise design, and deliver technical solutions across North America.

You will apply hydraulic modeling, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and regulatory knowledge while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project teams and clients. Relocation assistance not available.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred and 12+ years of experience in municipal water, wastewater, and conveyance infrastructure.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools; strong written/verbal communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and rehabilitation of municipal water and wastewater systems and conveyance infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, specs, and construction documents.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and system evaluations for planning and design.
• Provide technical oversight and reviews for junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project delivery on schedule and budget.
• Engage with clients and regulatory agencies, review submittals, and respond to RFIs.
