Job summary

AECOM's Water Business Line in the Greater Philadelphia Area is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join the design group. This internship offers hands-on experience in water treatment projects and exposure to industry best practices.

You'll work with a team of engineers and professionals, develop design drawings, reports, and details, and prepare for a future career in environmental or civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Candidates must pursue a bachelor’s degree in environmental/civil engineering or related field.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of study; graduates not pursuing a master’s degree must have been enrolled in their bachelor's term.
• Preferred coursework includes water treatment, fluid mechanics, hydrology, environmental chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Support the water group by preparing design drawings, plans, technical reports, and details for water/wastewater projects.
• Learn hands-on engineering design and best practices under senior staff.
• Participate in project work to build essential skills for professional transition.
