Job summary

Baxter & Woodman offers an internship in Water/Wastewater Engineering across Chicago area offices including O'Hare, Mokena, Naperville and Crystal Lake, IL. You will support design and construction tasks and gain hands-on client exposure.

The role is suited for students pursuing a 4-year Civil Engineering degree with an Environmental emphasis, with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. May/June 2027 start, travel within the Chicago area, strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Civil Engineering degree with an Environmental focus.
• GPA minimum 3.0/4.0.
• Available to start May or June 2027.
• Must have own transportation to travel within Chicago area.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with evaluation, study and design of water/wastewater systems.
• Perform field work and support design of water/wastewater projects.
• Collaborate on stormwater and water main/sanitary sewer installations.
