Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Fairfax, VA is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include water and sewer modeling, facility evaluation, design, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 0-4 years water/wastewater design experience.
• Understanding of or experience designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems, and treatment systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley MicroStation and water distribution and sewer modeling software a plus.
• Relevant internship experience required for new graduates.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Fairfax, VA office. Responsibilities will include water and sewer modeling, water and wastewater facility evaluation, design, and construction administration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 0-4 years of water/wastewater design experience
• Understanding of or experience designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems, and treatment systems
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley MicroStation and water distribution and sewer modeling software a plus
• Relevant internship experience required for new graduates

• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or EIT preferred

The expected compensation range for this position is $72,000.00 - $97,000.00, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
