Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Fairfax, VA seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include design, modeling, rehabilitation, facility evaluation, utility relocation, and construction administration.

Requirements include a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited), 11–15 years of water/wastewater design, experience with pipelines and treatment systems, plus a P.E. license in Virginia or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 11–15 years water/wastewater design experience.
• Experience with water/wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems and treatment.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and modeling software is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• P.E. license in Virginia or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Design water and sewer pipelines and related facilities.
• Model and rehabilitate water and wastewater systems.
• Evaluate and design water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping and treatment.
• Provide utility relocation services and construction administration.

We are currently seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in our Fairfax, VA office. Responsibilities will include water and sewer pipeline design, modeling and rehabilitation, water and wastewater facility evaluation and design, utility relocation services and construction administration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a ABET accredited program
• 11-15 years of water/wastewater design experience
• Understanding of or experience designing water and wastewater facilities including pipelines, pumping systems and treatment systems
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS and water distribution and sewer modeling software a plus
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• P.E., registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or ability to become registered through comity from another state within 6 months

The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000.00 - $215,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
