Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer (E.I.T.) to support municipal infrastructure projects from our Springfield, Illinois office.

The role blends office and field work, including condition assessments, construction observation, and infrastructure renewal projects, collaborating with project managers, senior engineers, clients, and contractors. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in civil/environmental engineering, with a Bachelor’s degree and E.I.T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering required.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• 1–2 years of civil, municipal, water or wastewater engineering experience or internship/co-op preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and rehabilitation of wastewater collection systems and sanitary sewers.
• Support sewer evaluation studies, condition assessments, and rehab planning.
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, permits, and cost estimates.
