We are seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water team in East Central. You will work on various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, supporting senior engineers and project managers. Responsibilities include evaluations, designs, and services during construction at municipal water and wastewater facilities. The role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities include

1. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on water, wastewater, stormwater, and natural treatment system projects.
2. Participating in planning, cost development, management, and scheduling.
3. Coordinating project tasks with other engineers and technicians.
4. Completing civil design calculations, sketches, and technical comparisons.
5. Assisting in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
6. Mentoring junior engineers.
7. Leading process tasks on projects.
8. Conducting field visits during construction.
9. Providing startup services to ensure system performance.
10. Engaging in professional organizations for marketing and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of consulting experience in water and wastewater.
• Experience with various water and wastewater projects.
• Understanding of water/wastewater processes and technologies.
• Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred qualifications

• Professional Engineer license or willingness to obtain it.
• Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Experience managing project deliverables.
• Involvement in professional societies or leadership roles.
• Self-motivated and proactive attitude.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $95,300 to $135,000 annually, with individual pay based on location, experience, and education. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), stock purchase options, PTO, holidays, and potential bonuses.
