Job description

A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for their Madison office! This position may be worked remotely!

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead design engineer for a variety of multi-disciplined, complex public/private water and wastewater projects.
• Coach/mentor junior staff.
• Project manager duties including evaluating scope/scheduling requirements, coordinating planning strategies, and providing quality assurance and quality control.
• Develop a strategic market development plan.
• Build/maintain client relationships.
• Look for business development opportunities.
• Actively participate in professional associations.
• Represent company at trade shows/conferences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Advanced degree.
• 8+ years of progressive technical design experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing public/private water and/or wastewater treatment infrastructure and facility projects.
• PE License.
• Business development experience.
• Experience developing detailed plans/specifications for construction.
• Previous client and project management experience.
• Experience mentoring/training a team of engineering professionals.
• Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time for meetings/site visits.
• Working knowledge of ArcMap, SWWM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and/or Revit.
• Experience leading/managing multi-discipline design projects with engineering fees in excess of $1.0 million.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
