Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Las Cruces, NM (or El Paso) with 4–10 years of experience. The role focuses on water/wastewater projects, including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal, working in a fast-paced team environment.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering (MS preferred), a TXPE license or ability to obtain within 6 months, and strong CAD/modeling skills (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• TXPE License or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering; MS preferred.
• Experience with plan production and CAD tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit or equivalent).
• Experience with hydraulic/environmental calculations and technical report writing.
• Hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/InfoWater/InfoSewer.

Responsibilities

• Interact with team members and clients within Wilson & Company.
• Engage in business development/marketing by visiting clients and attending conferences.
• Lead and manage water/wastewater projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Mentor engineers in training and junior staff on project execution.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary project execution and client expectations.

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with 4 – 10 years of experience to join our team in Las Cruces or El Paso. The position will focus primarily on water/wastewater related projects, including but not limited to supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is eager to lead and grow as a professional working in a fast-paced team environment in our La Cruces, NM office. The position may include production management, project management, contracting, mentoring and client management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Although expected to work independently, this individual must be able to interact well with other team members within the Wilson & Company team.
• Contact and visit clients for business development / marketing, including attendance at local industry conferences and seminars.
• High degree of intrapersonal and communication skills is necessary.
• Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable to manage and develop business client relationships.
• Proficient in managing a wide range of water and wastewater projects to meet client schedules and budgets.
• Ability to mentor engineers in training and design staff in project execution and client expectations.
• Excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles.

Required Experience:

• BS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering emphasis
• MS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is preferred
• 4-10 years of experience
• TXPE License or the ability to obtain a license in 6-months is required
• Experience with plan production, familiarity with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP3d, AutoCAD Plant3d, or revit is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic and environmental calculations as well astechnical report writing
• Experience with hydraulic modeling utilizing WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, or InfoSewer

Job Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico

Annual Salary Range: $101,000 - $150,000 (Depending on Experience)
