Join to apply for the Water/Wastewater Engineer role at WSP in the U.S.

This opportunity provides technical assistance and guidance for water/wastewater production, treatment, and conveyance infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include analyzing, developing, and designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, and planning for water/wastewater distribution, master planning, and plant rehabilitation and expansion. Ensures high-quality delivery meeting industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Manage project design, permitting, construction, and guide junior staff.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects as task lead.
• Perform technical calculations, permit applications, compliance documentation, and analysis memos.
• Maintain quality control for design and reporting.
• Support development of small to medium projects, including concept design and modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
• Adhere to WSP’s ethical and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting, regulations, and technical modeling tools.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with hydraulic and process modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, ArcGIS).
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or PE license in Texas.
• Experience managing large projects on time and budget.
