Job summary

The City of Scottsdale is seeking a Water/Wastewater Electrician I to perform skilled journey-level electrical work in critical water systems. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable water operations for the Scottsdale community.

Ideal candidates bring four years of industrial/utility electrical experience or a two-year electromechanical apprenticeship, with a valid driver’s license and ADEQ certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of experience in Industrial and/or Utility Electrical Systems; OR completion of a recognized two-year electromechanical apprenticeship.
• An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Install, alter, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade.
