Job summary

The City of Scottsdale is hiring a Water/Wastewater Electrician I to perform skilled journey level electrical work in our water operations. You will install, alter, maintain and repair electrical systems and fixtures, supporting safe, reliable access to clean water in our community.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, four years of relevant electrical experience or a two-year electromechanical apprenticeship, and must obtain ADEQ certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of experience in Industrial and/or Utility Electrical Systems; OR completion of a recognized two-year electromechanical apprenticeship.
• An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, alter, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment and fixtures in an industrial setting.
• Ensure work complies with standard practices of the electrical trade and safety requirements.
