Qualifications

• Two-year technical or vocational program in mechanical trades or electrical trades (Wastewater Plant maintenance)
• Journeyman experience in heavy mechanical equipment maintenance may be substituted
• Must be able to perform standby rotation and after-hours call-out duties

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of equipment related to wastewater and water treatment facilities
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, turbines, compressors, generators, chemical feed systems; control panels)
• Electrical trouble shooting and repair on supply and control components
• Welding and fabrication of equipment
• Repair metal/PVC piping and fittings
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on process equipment
• Generate Work Management via City Works EAM
• Generate Order Requests for material purchase
• Work with spreadsheets to generate equipment reports
• Work varying hours or shifts as needed
• Utilize work management system to produce spreadsheets and reports
• Daily use of various software applications to perform duties
• Standby rotations and after-hours call-outs for field operations and emergencies
• Participate in Emergency Response Plan Phase 1 or 2
