Job summary

Brevard County is seeking a Permanent Full Time skilled technician to maintain and repair mechanical and power-driven equipment used in water, wastewater, solid waste facilities and lift stations. The role requires hands-on craft work at central facilities countywide with a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Two years of mechanical repair experience are required; a Florida driver's license is mandatory and must be kept current.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.
• In the event of a hurricane or disaster, perform emergency duties as directed.

• Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and power-driven equipment at water and wastewater treatment plants, solid waste plants, transfer stations and lift stations.
