Job summary

Tetra Tech in Jacksonville is seeking a Water/Wastewater EIT or PE with 2–8 years of experience to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure projects.

You will work on utility conveyance systems, including water distribution, gravity sewers, force mains, and reclaimed water pipelines, with opportunities to contribute to pump stations and treatment facility improvements. Hybrid work flexibility offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with the engineering design process including planning, permitting, and construction support.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of municipal water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support the design of water distribution systems, gravity sewers, force mains, and reclaimed water pipelines.
• Support the design of pump stations and treatment facility improvements.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, and supporting documentation.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with permitting and coordination with local agencies and utility owners.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observation as needed.
• Support project documentation, quality control reviews, and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
