Spotlock is seeking a Water/Wastewater Design Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team in New Jersey. You will design and execute municipal water and sewer projects, including treatment facilities, storage tanks, and pumping stations, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compliant, efficient solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with regulators, contractors, and clients, plus guidance during planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• PE license or EIT with a clear path toward obtaining PE licensure.
• 5–7 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with treatment plants, storage tanks, pumping stations, distribution systems, and collection systems.
• Strong proficiency in preparing and interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret engineering designs, plans, and specifications for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on the design and execution of municipal water and sewer projects.
• Communicate effectively with regulators, contractors, clients, and the public regarding project details and requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support during project planning and execution phases.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
