Job summary

STV in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist to contribute to Water Practice Group project development and execution of varying sizes, from design through construction close-out. You will perform design engineering tasks to support the Project Team in delivering water and wastewater facilities and associated pipelines.

You’ll work under the San Antonio Water Group Manager, collaborating with multiple design disciplines, reviewing drawings, and learning project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or successful FE exam.
• 1–2 years of water/wastewater infrastructure design experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with other design disciplines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure design and familiarity with producers/utilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and calculations for water/wastewater projects.
• Design water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Plan and design components like pump stations, lift stations and treatment facilities.
• Conduct pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Produce construction documents: plans, specs and bid forms.
• Support project management, client interface and future business development.
